Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy Organizes a Training Course on Botulinum Toxin Type A Injection for the Treatment of Post-Stroke Spasticity

From June 17 to June 20, 2026, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy organized a training course on Botulinum Toxin Type A injection techniques for the treatment of post-stroke spasticity for physicians working in the field of rehabilitation medicine.

The course was conducted by Dr. Nguyen Hoai Trung, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation. The training program combined theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required to assess and manage post-stroke spasticity using Botulinum Toxin Type A injection techniques.

During the course, participants received supervised clinical training with patients at Da Nang Hospital of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, where they practiced under the guidance of experienced instructors. This practical component helped strengthen their clinical skills and enhance their ability to apply the techniques effectively in medical examination and treatment.

Upon completion of the course, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy held a closing ceremony and awarded Certificates of Completion to eight participants who successfully fulfilled all program requirements.

The training course contributed to updating professional knowledge and enhancing the practical competencies of physicians specializing in rehabilitation medicine, thereby meeting the growing demand for effective treatment and care of patients with post-stroke spasticity
