On the morning of May 29, 2026, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital, a member of Kaohsiung Medical University Healthcare System, Taiwan, to strengthen international cooperation in education, scientific research, and the development of high-quality healthcare professionals.
Representing Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital at the ceremony were Dr. Phung Minh Chau, Deputy Superintendent of the Hospital, and Ms. Chia-Ling Chao, Head of Educational Development, Swallowing Disorders Multidisciplinary Center, Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital.
Representing Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy, President of the University; Dr. Dang Van Thoi, Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice President; along with leaders of the University’s faculties, departments, and affiliated centers.
In her remarks at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy emphasized that international cooperation is one of the University’s key strategic priorities for enhancing educational quality, promoting scientific research, and advancing higher education integration in the field of health sciences. She noted that the partnership with Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital would create valuable opportunities for academic exchange, clinical practice, and professional development for the University’s lecturers and students.
On behalf of the hospital, Dr. Phung Minh Chau expressed his expectation that the partnership between the two institutions would continue to grow and deliver meaningful outcomes, contributing to the advancement of education and research in healthcare while strengthening professional and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Taiwan.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the two parties will collaborate on a wide range of activities, including online lectures and global classrooms; joint scientific research and international publications; faculty and student exchange programs; clinical observation and internship opportunities at the hospital; development of specialized training programs and certification courses; as well as community service initiatives and other international cooperation projects.
In a formal and cordial atmosphere, representatives of both institutions signed the Memorandum of Understanding and exchanged commemorative gifts, marking a new milestone in the partnership between Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital.
The cooperation is expected to contribute significantly to the enhancement of the University’s educational quality, scientific research capacity, and international integration efforts, while expanding learning, clinical training, and career development opportunities for its faculty members and students in the years ahead.
