On the afternoon of May 27, 2026, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital held a working session to discuss orientations for future scientific research collaboration between the two institutions, combined with a specialized training workshop on scientific research.
Attending the program on behalf of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy were Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice President of the University; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Phong, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Dr. Pham Duc Thang and Dr. Huynh Huu Bon, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Ms. Tran Thi Diep Ha, Head of the Faculty of Public Health; Ms. Cao Bich Thuy, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology Management and International Cooperation; Dr. Ha Hai Anh, Head of the Center for Information Technology, Communication and Library; and representatives from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Public Health.
Representing Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital were Dr. Nguyen The Truyen, Deputy Director of the Hospital; Dr. Tran Thi Huong Lai, Head of the General Planning Department; Mr. Ly Phan Cong Tuan, President of the Da Nang Medicinal Herbs Association; together with leaders of various departments and a large number of healthcare professionals and staff members.
During the meeting, representatives of both institutions discussed various aspects of future scientific research collaboration. Key topics included strengthening cooperation in clinical research, developing applied research projects in the field of traditional medicine, supporting scientific publication activities, and creating opportunities for lecturers and healthcare professionals from both sides to participate in academic and professional research activities.
On this occasion, representatives of the University also introduced the Da Nang Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University's academic journal in the field of health sciences. Through this initiative, the University aims to strengthen connections with healthcare professionals and researchers from Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital in conducting research, writing, and publishing scientific articles, thereby promoting the dissemination of research findings and practical experiences in traditional medicine and healthcare.
Speaking at the event, leaders of both institutions expressed their desire to further strengthen and sustain the cooperative relationship, leveraging each institution’s professional strengths to enhance the quality of education, scientific research, and healthcare services for the community.
Following the cooperation discussion, the scientific research training workshop was conducted with a number of practical and valuable topics. The presentation entitled “Evidence-Based Traditional Medicine: Data Analysis and Scientific Writing from Clinical Research”, delivered by Mr. Tran Dinh Trung, lecturer of the Faculty of Public Health, provided practical insights into conducting and publishing research in the field of traditional medicine.
In addition, the topic “Skills for Writing Research Reports and Scientific Papers”, presented by Dr. Van Pham Kim Thuong, lecturer of the Faculty of Pharmacy, offered useful guidance and practical skills for developing and completing scientific research projects and publications.
The program contributed to enhancing the scientific research capacity of lecturers, researchers, and healthcare professionals while strengthening professional and academic collaboration between Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and Da Nang Traditional Medicine Hospital in the coming years.
