On the morning of June 18, 2026, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy held the Closing Ceremony of the external assessment conducted under the AUN-QA framework for three academic programs: Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Arnulfo P. Azcarraga, Chief Assessor of the AUN-QA Assessment Team, along with other members of the assessment panel. Representing the University were Dr. Le Van Nho, Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy, Rector of the University; Dr. Dang Van Thoi and Dr. Nguyen Minh Son, Vice Rectors; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Minh, former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Rector of the University; together with leaders of faculties, offices, departments, lecturers, staff members, and employees. The external assessment took place from June 16 to June 18, 2026. During their visit, the AUN-QA assessment team carried out various professional activities, including reviewing supporting documents and evidence, interviewing stakeholders, inspecting facilities, meeting with units responsible for the academic programs, and comprehensively evaluating the quality assurance conditions of the three programs.
At the closing session, representatives of the AUN-QA assessment team presented their preliminary findings. The team acknowledged the University's efforts in quality assurance, curriculum development, enhancement of teaching and learning activities, student assessment, and the strengthening of educational support conditions. In addition, the team provided valuable recommendations to help the University further improve its internal quality assurance system, enhance program management and effectiveness, and better meet stakeholders' expectations.
In her remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Thuy, Rector of the University, expressed sincere appreciation to the AUN-QA assessment team for their professionalism, objectivity, dedication, and sense of responsibility. She emphasized that the assessment served not only as an opportunity for the University to review, benchmark, and comprehensively evaluate the quality of its academic programs against regional standards, but also as a valuable source of information and expert insights that would help the University better identify its strengths and areas requiring further improvement.
The University is committed to fully embracing the recommendations of the assessment team and to continuously implementing substantive and effective quality improvement activities. Based on the assessment outcomes, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy will develop appropriate solutions to enhance educational quality, strengthen services for learners, meet employers' expectations, and contribute to training high-quality healthcare professionals for the Central and Central Highlands regions and the country as a whole.
