Professional activities in information technology work

1. Building and Managing Personal Google Scholar Profiles

On June 8, 2026, the Center for Information Technology, Communications, and Library of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy issued a notice regarding the establishment and management of individual scientific profiles on Google Scholar. This initiative was implemented under the direction of the University Board of Rectors to support digital transformation, enhance academic visibility in the digital environment, and gradually standardize the university’s digital scientific profile system.

Accordingly, all teaching assistants, lecturers, and researchers are required to create new Google Scholar profiles or review and update their existing profiles. During the verification process, staff members must use the institutional email addresses provided by the university. In addition, Google Scholar profiles must be set to public visibility to improve accessibility and academic outreach. Each individual is responsible for regularly updating newly published research outputs and removing any publications that have been incorrectly attributed by the system in order to ensure the accuracy of their profiles.

In addition to the responsibilities of individual staff members, faculties and departments are required to review the Google Scholar profiles of their lecturers and researchers, collect verified Google Scholar links, and integrate these links into the personnel lists displayed on their unit websites. This measure aims to improve transparency and facilitate access to academic information.

The university also requests all units to disseminate this notice, together with the “Guidelines for Google Scholar Registration and Profile Management,” to all teaching assistants, lecturers, and researchers, while actively monitoring and encouraging compliance. All profiles must be completed before June 13, 2026. Timely completion will support the collection of information required for upcoming accreditation activities and contribute to the development of a comprehensive and standardized digital scientific profile system for the university.

Should any difficulties arise during implementation, staff members may contact the university’s information technology support team for timely technical assistance.

2. Implementation of the Dual-Domain Email System Using @dhktyduocdn.edu.vn and @ydn.edu.vn

Notice dated June 8, 2026, issued by the Center for Information Technology, Communications and Library of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, regarding the implementation of a dual-domain email system using @dhktyduocdn.edu.vn and @ydn.edu.vn, in accordance with the direction of the University Board of Rectors. The initiative aims to gradually establish a more recognizable and memorable digital identity for the University in the online environment.

According to the notice, beginning in June 2026, all email accounts under the @dhktyduocdn.edu.vn domain will be automatically assigned an additional email address under the @ydn.edu.vn domain. Users will be able to send and receive emails through either domain using the existing email system without affecting their data, email history, or previous communications. During the transition period, the current email domain will remain fully operational; however, @ydn.edu.vn will become the University's new official email identity and will be prioritized for institutional communications, transactions, and promotional activities.

The notice also requests all units to disseminate the information and accompanying user guidelines to staff members, employees, and students, while supporting users in gradually transitioning to the new @ydn.edu.vn domain. The implementation of the dual-domain email system is expected to strengthen the University's digital branding, enhance communication effectiveness, and promote a unified institutional identity across digital platforms.
