Faculty Achievements and Development Highlights

Over the past ten years of implementing the Bachelor of Pharmacy programme, the Faculty of Pharmacy has continuously reviewed, updated, and enhanced its curriculum to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Through the collective efforts of academic staff and students, the Faculty has achieved significant accomplishments in academic development, research, and student engagement.

Academic Staff Development

The Faculty currently comprises 33 staff members, including 29 academic staff actively involved in teaching and research. Among them are 5 lecturers holding doctoral or postdoctoral qualifications, 4 doctoral candidates, and 20 lecturers with master's degrees. The Faculty is committed to strengthening staff qualifications and professional competencies to support high-quality education and research activities.

Education and Training

To date, the Faculty has successfully graduated 11 cohorts of full-time Bachelor of Pharmacy students and 4 cohorts of bridging pharmacy students. A total of 975 pharmacy graduates have completed the programme and entered the healthcare workforce.

In addition, the Faculty is finalizing the proposal for submission to the Ministry of Health to establish a Specialist Level I programme in Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy, contributing to the expansion of postgraduate education opportunities and the development of advanced pharmaceutical expertise.

Research and Scholarly Activities

The Faculty has actively promoted research and innovation through various funded projects and academic activities. Research achievements include:

  • 01 provincial-level research project;

  • 04 city-funded institutional research projects;

  • Numerous university-level research projects and scientific seminars.

Faculty members have published more than 50 articles in national scientific journals. International publication output has increased substantially in recent years. Notably, during the last three years, academic staff have published 17 papers in international journals, including publications indexed in ISI and Scopus databases, demonstrating growing research capacity and international visibility.

Student Development and Extracurricular Achievements

The Faculty works closely with the Youth Union and Student Association to support students in extracurricular activities, scientific research, leadership development, and community engagement. Pharmacy students have actively participated in academic and social activities and have achieved several notable accomplishments, including:

  • Receiving the prestigious “9 January Student Award” granted by the Da Nang Student Association;

  • Mr. Tran Chanh Nghia (Pharmacy Cohort 06B) won Third Prize in the national competition “Youth Learning and Following Ho Chi Minh’s Ideology, Morality, and Lifestyle”;

  • Ms. Duong Nguyet Thao (Pharmacy Cohort 07B), as a member of the university English team, won First Prize at the Da Nang City English Olympics Competition in 2023;

  • Ms. Le Viet Kieu My (Pharmacy Programme) was selected as a TOEIC Ambassador in 2024.

These achievements reflect the Faculty’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, research productivity, professional competence, and holistic student development in alignment with the University's mission and quality assurance objectives.
